Healthy Athlete Had A Heart Attack Anyway
Why HaHaHaa? On Sunday 6th August 1978, my dad went out to play golf and never came back. I was 14. He had a massive heart attack on the green and his untrained companions didn’t know what to do. I later learned that most members of my family had died of heart attacks in their early 50. Since then, I have never been unfit and have tried to balance sensible lifestyle and fun.
I have discovered that lifetime fit people are not regularly seen by health services and the numbers on the machines that go ping can be unusual when compared to NARPs (Non Athletic Real People).
This website is for people whose heart rate / blood pressure / exercise load are outside the national norm. Comments and story submission sections will appear in the near future.
Here’s my story of how a strange shoulder pain while Indoor cycling became a short holiday in hospital .
